Different Directions

Ever had bosses who are heading different directions, but could never come to a consensus?

Guess who are the ones who suffer?

The moral of the story is, always leave the Board room with ONE decision.

It doesn't matter how the outcome was reached - whether by majority vote or the person highest in hierachy putting his/her foot down, making the decision and taking responsibilty for it.

After that, it doesn't matter what the difference of opinion were. Statements like, "It's a stupid decision! Let's do it the right way" or "Actually ah...I don't agree with the decision wan. But what to do? They pay my salary so I follow lor" will only divide the organisation.



Even worse is when no one wants to be seen as the bad guy so they make no decision and pull their subordinates in different directions.

An organisation without unity will eventually fall apart...after much pain.
